You don't have to have a title, but it sure does make the sale a lot easier. Since selling without a title can be quite a logistical nightmare on our part, we won't be able to offer as much cash to you. For this reason, its best to try your hardest to get a title on your hands before calling Rusty's. If you need assistance with this, we're happy to help.

Most junkyards and online buyers are reputable however, there are few things to watch out for. Never accept less than the amount quoted when the tower shows up. There have been reports of towers pressuring sellers to take lower amounts once the tow truck arrives. Also never accept payment for more than the quoted amount with a request to five the tower back money to make up the difference. Finally make sure to send your notice of release of liability when you sell your vehicle. If you have questions about any of this, give us a call.

Believe it or not, your car does not need to have wheels for us to offer you a great price for your car. Having wheels may add value to your car but some of our customers actually choose to keep their wheels and a little lower price for their junk car. However, please let us know ahead of time if you car does not have wheels so we can let the tow truck driver know ahead of time.

We'll send you a receipt via e-mail. You'll want to make sure that you save this e-mail so you have it on hand if you ever need it. For instance, your insurance company may ask to see the reciept as proof of sale before you change or cancel your policy with them. If you've sold your junk car and haven't received a receipt, call us.

We would prefer that you have both the title and registration. However in some cases the registration is not needed. The title is the primary document because it will get you the most money possible. Let us know if you are missing a document and we will work to help you get a solution.
